Dricus du Plessis cannot stop his laughter as fellow UFC champions Ilia Topuria and Belal Muhammad roast each other on social media
Dricus du Plessis has been unable to contain his laughter, after the UFC middleweight champion responded to Ilia Topuria and Belal Muhammad's recent roasts of one another.
Over the last few days, Topuria and Muhammad have engaged in a back-and-forth on social media and during interviews. Despite being in entirely different weight classes, the pair have traded blows as if they're ready to step foot in the octagon.
The bad blood between the pair started a few days ago when Topuria was hosting a livestream on his Instagram. A fan then asked 'El Matador' for his prediction for Muhammad's upcoming bout against Shavkat Rakhmonov, to which he said:
"Belal vs. Shavkat? Shavkat. Belal, he's a fake champion. He's a fake."
'Remember the Name' soon fired back and compared Topuria's latest actions with the controversial Colby Covington. He tweeted:
"Didn’t this dork just buy a fake bmf belt to pose with.. he’s starting to become the Georgian version of Coby Covington."
The pair continued firing back at one another, with Topuria most recently responding to a clip from Muhammad's no-contest bout against Leon Edwards back in 2021. He took aim at the welterweight champion's personal life as well as his professional record, which soon led to du Plessis weighing in.
The middleweight champ responded to Ilia Topuria's tweet and couldn't contain how entertained he was reading their beef. He tweeted:
"🤣🤣🤣"

Dana White confirms Dricus du Plessis' next opponent, explains difficulty hosting UFC event in South Africa
Dana White recently confirmed Dricus du Plessis' next opponent as well as shed some light on the issues they have faced trying to secure a venue in South Africa.
Since 'Stillknocks' picked up the middleweight title, the UFC CEO has been pushing to hold an event in du Plessis' home country. Whilst the promotion does usually find an answer, so far, it appears as though it is proving more difficult than first thought.
Speaking at a recent Contender Series post-fight presser, White confirmed that du Plessis will be rematching Sean Strickland next, but also revealed it wouldn't be taking place in South Africa. He explained:
"You know how bad I want this [Dricus du Plessis fighting in South Africa]. I’ve been trying to get this thing done. The arena situation there is tough. It’s tough to pull off. So, that’s been the challenge with Africa as a whole. We’re trying to figure it out. The place that we would have to do it at is outdoors, and you know how I feel about that."
