Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, and Michael Chandler "should all retire," claims UFC lightweight contender
UFC lightweight prospect Arman Tsarukyan feels fighters like Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler should take their leave from the sport.
In a recent video uploaded by @Sa_Gwang on Twitter, Tsarukyan claimed that Chandler was a below-average fighter who did not possess the required skills to fight 155lbs champ Islam Makhachev. Adding on to that, 'Ahalkalakets' also urged Poirier, 'Iron' and Gaethje to retire since they only fought amongst themselves in the division, refraining from taking on anyone else.
The 26-year-old said:
"They all should retire. I mean Chandler, Poirier and Gaethje, they should be taken off top 15. They only fight each other and no one else. They don't want to fight anyone else. I don't like this trio. Chandler really s*cks. He won't be able to do anything against Islam. He fought like an idiot against Gaethje. He is a wrestler and tries to brawl for some reason... He doesn't make sense, old and better retire."

The Armenian-Russian last fought Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Fight Night: Tsarukyan vs Gamrot. The 26-year-old suffered a decision loss, thus breaking his five-fight winning streak in the promotion.
Tsarukyan will next fight Damir Ismagulov at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland, scheduled for December 17 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Michael Chandler discusses his potential fight with Conor McGregor, expects to fight 'The Notorious' in July 2023
After UFC boss Dana White showed interest in a fight between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor upon the latter's return, it seems like a super-fight between the two sounds more realistic now.
Appearing in an interview with MMA Junkie, Michael Chandler discussed what a fight against the Irishman would be like inside the octagon. 'Iron' claimed that the fight would be a "car crash in the middle of an octagon" given the pace of both the fighters inside the cage:
"People have said they think it's going to be the fastest pace, craziest first round of all time and I think it definitely will be. The way that Conor McGregor starts fights, the way I start fights, it's a car crash in the middle of an octagon."
Speaking further, the American also revealed that he expects to fight McGregor during International Fight Week in July:
"Hopefully in the middle of T-Mobile Arena here in Vegas in July, so it's gonna be huge, it's gonna be awesome, and I believe it's gonna happen."
