Dustin Poirier likely to “box Conor McGregor's head off” in potential rematch, claims Michael Bisping
Michael Bisping believes that Conor McGregor will not find it easy to beat Dustin Poirier if the two rivals meet in the octagon for the fourth time. Bisping is of the opinion that Poirier would outbox McGregor with ease.
On a recent episode of the Believe You Me podcast, Bisping sat down with Anthony Smith. While the two discussed a potential matchup between McGregor and Poirier, 'The Count' stated:
"That's a good fight for Conor to come back to. Simply stylistically. I mean listen, Dustin will probably more than likely box his head off because he's been struggling with his form recently... And he just snapped his leg. And he's been out for quite some time, and that's a negative. He's getting older. He's enjoying the spoils of his riches. It all adds together in the pot."

Conor McGregor has faced Dustin Poirier thrice in their careers, with the Louisianan getting the better of the Irishman on the last two occasions.
Their trilogy also marked the beginning of McGregor's ongoing long layoff from MMA, after the superstar suffered a broken leg during the fight.
Dustin Poirier recently defeated Michael Chandler via third-round submission in an absolute lightweight war at UFC 281 in November. With the recent Twitter back and forth between 'The Diamond' and the 'Notorious' star, fans can perhaps hope for a quadrilogy fight between the two.
Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier take shots at each other as 'The Diamond' remains hospitalized
Conor McGregor recently took shots at Dustin Poirier as the Irishman reacted to news concerning the Louisianan's health and status of recovery. Poirier has been in the hospital battling a staph infection.
The former two-division champion proceeded to respond to the news with a now-deleted tweet, writing:
"Heal up soon scruffy knickers."
Not one to back down, Poirier fired back with a reply. He referenced McGregor's steroid use allegations and his upcoming Hollywood movie Road House, saying:
"You done filming Roid House and ready to get slapped around again!?"
Interestingly, the Irishman not only responded to Poirier's pun, but also seemed to put the former interim lightweight titleholder on notice about his impending octagon return:
"Ye I'm in Amderdam jacked like [Jean-Claude] van damn. You weren't just hurt pal. You were scared hurt don't forget it. I'm coming back to put you in a box. Full of it. I'm sending you off this earth. Permanent. Stay waiting for the road house as well pal you and the missus will love it."
