Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz clash heads in social media feud

Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz have been at each other's throats for a number of years, and today, they once again find themselves embroiled in a feud over social media following the Stockton native's comments.

'The Diamond' has been in fantastic form inside the octagon, propelling himself to stardom over the past seven years. Since losing to Michael Johnson in 2016, the lightweight hasn't suffered defeat in the sport outside of his two title fights against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira, winning nine fights in that time.

In a post on social media, Nate Diaz fired shots at a number of high-profile UFC stars, insisting that he's unbeaten against each of them and they're all "scared pu***'s".

"I'm 3-0 in the UFC against c*mshot [Khamzat Chimaev], Khabib [Nurmagomedov]. and Dustin Poirier due to them being scared pu***'s. Sleep with that."

In response, Dustin Poirier urged Diaz to "tell the truth" about their proposed matchup from years prior that never came to fruition, raising questions amongst both of their fanbases as to the true reason they didn't eventually fight, saying:

"Shut ya bi***a** up, tell the truth about our matchup, h*e."

The two have been preparing to face off against one another on multiple occasions throughout their time in the UFC, and despite being booked to fight in 2018, the two never got to settle their differences in the cage.

Given their current circumstances and where they are in their careers, it looks like Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz will never get to strap on the gloves and share the cage with one another.

What's next for Nate Diaz?

Nate Diaz has raised a lot of eyebrows since announcing his intention to leave the UFC and venture into another sport, but news on his next move is beginning to get quiet.

The martial arts veteran has a number of options at his disposal, with various MMA promotions and business opportunities lining up to entice the megastar into working with them.

Although Bare Knuckle FC, Bellator, and the PFL have all made their interest in Diaz public, he recently teased a move to Rizin, a place he is fond of stemming from his brother's years with Pride.

If he decides to take an extended break from competing, the star could well focus on building his new 'Real Fight Inc.' promotion, with him already discussing potential forthcoming bouts.
