Eddie Abasolo eyes Mohamed Younes Rabah KO at ONE 169: "Someone's getting slept" 

Eddie Abasolo guarantees his clash alongside Mohamed Younes Rabah at ONE 169 will finish inside the distance.

The American striker goes toe-to-toe with the Algerian standout in a featherweight Muay Thai clash, looking for his second victory in the promotion.

Though results haven't gone his way lately, 'Silky Smooth' is dreaming big and vows to return to winning ways impressively. When asked whether this fight will end in a knockout, the 38-year-old told Cageside Press:

"Yeah, for sure. Someone’s getting slept, for sure. And it ain’t gonna be me, I promise you that."

In case The Resistance martial artist needs any form of inspiration, he can look back to his second-round knockout of Niclas Larsen at ONE Fight Night 8 in March last year.

Despite going down to Liam Nolan in his promotional bow, Abasolo came guns blazing to undo the Danish star from the start.

After hurting his opposite number with elbows in the opening stanza, the striker switched things up in the second and put 'Dreamchaser' down with a powerful straight right.

Separately, Eddie Abasolo stacked praise on ONE Championship's ability to turn heads and make Muay Thai one of the most popular forms of martial arts in his home country today.

The 38-year-old told 4oz to Freedom:

"These days, I feel like [Muay Thai] has blown up. But, you know, we didn't have like a ONE platform [back then]. Now ONE is in the US. They're helping ups blow up."
