Eddie Abasolo has no qualms facing larger opponents in ONE's featherweight division: "Getting used to it by now"

One quick look at the track record of Eddie Abasolo during his time in ONE Championship shows that the American isn't backing down from any challenge.

In his four fights with the promotion so far, 'Silky Smooth' has faced off with some of the most dangerous contenders in and around his weight class.

This is no different on his return to action at ONE 169, where he faces off with Mohamed Younes Rabah at Lumpinee Stadium.

One of the biggest obstacles that Abasolo will have to overcome on Nov. 8 is the height difference between them despite that fact that Younes Rabah will be moving up from bantamweight for this clash.

How he ever tried to compete at bantamweight is staggering when you look at his 6-foot-2 frame.

However, being the smaller man is something that Abasolo has had to adapt to during his time in the promotion.

In a recent interview with 4oz to Freedom, he looked back on his ONE Championship debut as his first experience of trying to negate a significant size differential:

"I'm just getting used to it by now. I remember when I first stood against Liam Nolan, I was like looking up at him on the face off and I'm like, 'Jesus Christ, this man is huge!'"

Eddie Abasolo makes up for the height with other factors

Though he doesn't have the most impressive win-loss record during his time in ONE Championship, Eddie Abasolo is always competitive with the best fighters in his division.

The American is clearly able to make up for the height difference by playing to his strengths and using his speed to get close to his opponents.

Despite Younes Rabah being the taller man, his style is so aggressive that he's sure to come crashing into range regardless of this. As such, fans can expect a firefight in the featherweight Muay Thai division on Nov. 8.
