Eddie Hearn believes Dana White won't "play ball" with Turki Alalshikh brokering peace with Oscar De La Hoya
Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya are far from friends, but with them both being involved in combat sports in Las Vegas, their names are still mentioned together on occasion. However, with the emergence of a new juggernaut in boxing, Turki Alalshikh, peace between De La Hoya and White could be reached.
At least that is what Alalshikh hopes, boxing's new most powerful player. The Saudi Arabian official has been instrumental in organizing some of the biggest fights since 2023, including Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk.
He will be in attendance for the highly anticipated Noche UFC 306 card, and De La Hoya will join him as his guest. Despite Alalshikh having expressed hope of brokering peace between 'Golden Boy' and the UFC CEO, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn isn't optimistic about the success of the fence-mending.
Hearn was interviewed by The Schmo in Las Vegas, where he said:
"One thing with Dana is, he's not just gonna play ball. Dana White cannot stand Oscar De La Hoya, and I don't think he's just gonna play ball to act all pally-pally. But Oscar has got a lot to say, he has an incredible obsession with Canelo Alvarez, he just needs to let it go."

Dana White reacts to news that Oscar De La Hoya will attend Noche UFC 306
Oscar De La Hoya recently took to social media to announce he will not be attending Canelo Alvarez's boxing match with Edgar Berlanga, set to happen on Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 14.
He stated that he would instead be attending Noche UFC 306, scheduled to go down on the same date. The Mexican boxer slammed Alvarez's upcoming clash, claiming that it was not worth watching, whilst unexpectedly sharing some positive words about the UFC.
White was asked about De La Hoya's claims during a recent interview with Manouk Akoyan. The UFC frontman replied:
"That's the first I've heard of [De La Hoya attending Noche UFC 306]. Oscar and I haven't talked in a very long time. I don't know if he's part of Turki Alalshikh's seats, but no [I haven't saved him a seat]. That's Oscar being Oscar, coming out to s**t on Canelo."
