Eddie Hearn gives instant reaction to Tyson Fury's second loss against Oleksandr Usyk, comments on Anthony Joshua fight

Eddie Hearn recently expressed his thoughts on the recently concluded Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury matchup. Hearn asserted that Fury put up an impressive performance and hinted at a potential fight with Anthony Joshua.

Usyk took on Fury in a rematch this past weekend at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During their first encounter earlier this year at the same venue, the Ukrainian came out victorious via split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Fury started strong in their rematch, catching Usyk off guard with his sharp attacks. However, the reigning champion changed the tide in the middle rounds, as Usyk began to land more clean shots from that point onward.

After 12 rounds of intense action, Usyk was declared the winner by unanimous decision. The judges scored the fight (116-112x3) in favor of Usyk, who retained his WBC, WBO, and WBA world heavyweight belts.

In a recent interview with iFL TV, Hearn, who was present at the Kingdom Arena, gave his take on the result, saying:

''I thought it was a very fight. I thought Usyk nicked the last round, I did a draw but you know there seems to be a lot of people that had Usyk the winner, I think is that the overall. I just felt like there was a lot of close rounds.''

When asked about Fury's future, Hearn responded by expressing his admiration for Fury:

''There's only one fight, but there's no point, it's not the time to start calling the fight out. You don't know what Fury's going to do, maybe he doesn't want to fight again. The one thing I will say is Fury performed well, it's not like he's a finished fighter, his timing was off, his punch resistance is gone. He put up a good performance so for me the only fight to make is AJ- Fury. Let's see.''
