Eddie Hearn lashes out after Devin Haney calls him "the fakest ni*ga I ever met" over Joshua vs. Dubois ticket snub allegations: "Drop the arrogance"

With one of the biggest boxing events of 2024 on tap for Sept. 21 in London, Devin Haney made the trip to the United Kingdom to attend the fight card in person. However, the WBC super lightweight champion struggled to get into the Wembley Stadium and expressed frustration on social media.

Haney put the blame on Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, with the event being under his guidance. The undefeated boxer called Hearn "fake" for allegedly not giving him a ticket.

Haney tweeted:

"Wow I'm [in] London... Eddie Hearn won't give me tickets to the fight but keep mentioning me every chance he gets... Eddie the fakest n**** I ever met bro."

Despite the tweet coming on the day of the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois event, Hearn responded to Haney within an hour. The 45-year-old confirmed that he denied a ticket but expressed no remorse, snapping back at 'The Dream' by telling him to "drop the arrogance" while sharply reminding Haney that he is not a member of Matchroom Boxing.

Hearn replied:

"You asked me at 6 a.m. this morning. First I look after my fighters. Ask someone else and drop the arrogance."

What promotion is Devin Haney with?

While most high-profile boxers are under contract with a big-name promotion, Devin Haney has instead taken a different approach to his career. The 25-year-old is still open to receiving offers from promoters, including Eddie Hearn, but currently works with his own promotion, Devin Haney Promotions.

Haney co-runs Devin Haney Promotions with his father, Bill Haney. The promotion has expanded in recent years and co-promoted the WBC super lightweight champion's last fight against Ryan Garcia with Golden Boy Promotions.

Haney worked with Hearn's Matchroom Boxing in his super lightweight title fight against Regis Prograis. Before that, he competed under the Top Rank Boxing banner when he defended his undisputed lightweight titles against former champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.
