Elon Musk reacts to Joe Rogan's take on Kamala Harris potentially endangering First Amendment rights of U.S. citizens
In a recent episode of his popular podcast, UFC color commentator Joe Rogan engaged in a lengthy conversation with former Navy Seal and CIA Contractor Shawn Ryan about the potential implications of Kamala Harris taking over the Oval Office after the 2024 United States presidential election.
Rogan expressed his concern that Harris could threaten the First Amendment rights of U.S. citizens, particularly regarding free speech on platforms like X and Facebook. Articulating his fears regarding increased censorship under Harris’s influence, Rogan said:
"I don’t think it turns around if Kamala Harris gets into office. I think they clamp down more. She openly discussed the need for the same rules to apply to Facebook and Twitter and the possibility that Elon Musk could lose his privileges. There are so many wild things that they are saying." "Tim Walz said that the First Amendment doesn't apply to misinformation or hate speech. K, well, it certainly does."

The 57-year-old also suggested that the government would likely attempt to impose similar restrictions on social media platforms that they previously attempted with X. Rogan was particularly critical of political figures who downplay the importance of the First Amendment in the context of misinformation and hate speech.
Elon Musk, the chairman of X, reacted to Rogan's comments and wrote:
"Joe Rogan is absolutely right."

Joe Rogan claimed that Kamala Harris "nailed it" in debate against Donald Trump
During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator commended Kamala Harris's team for their effective strategy against Donald Trump in the ABC debate.
Rogan noted that Harris appeared better prepared compared to Trump, highlighting that the debate's outcome was not just about policies but about preparation. He remarked on Trump's comedic style, stating that while he was entertaining, his timing was off, which affected his performance. Speaking with American comedian Tom Segura on the topic, he said:
"The difference in that debate was not a difference in who’s gonna have better policies, who’s gonna be better for the country. The difference in the debate was who was better prepared and she was better prepared. Even when it came to asking tough questions, instead of answering them, she would just say things that she believed and they sounded real good."
