Elon Musk reacts to Kamala Harris' rumored appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast

As the 2024 United States presidential election draws closer, Vice President Kamala Harris’ rumored appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast has captured significant attention, especially with rival leader Donald Trump's upcoming interview on the platform. There seems to be a broad agreement among the masses that Rogan's views can seemingly shape public perceptions during a crucial election cycle.

Harris' campaign initially expressed interest in engaging with Rogan, who boasts over 14 million followers on Spotify. However, it was recently confirmed that scheduling conflicts would prevent her from making an appearance. Meanwhile, Trump’s upcoming interview with Rogan has already sparked interest due to their complex relationship over the years.

Harris' campaign spokesperson Ian Sams announced Thursday about the decision to not appear on the podcast, stating:

“We talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast. Unfortunately, it isn’t going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign."

Elon Musk, a supporter of the Republican party led by Trump, reacted to the news of Harris' decision to skip the potential interview with Rogan, stating:

"Nothing would sink Kamala’s campaign faster than a 3-hour unscripted conversation with Joe Rogan."

Trump is expected to make an appearance on the podcast this Friday in Austin although the details regarding the release date of the episode remain unclear as of now. Harris, on the other hand, will be in Texas for a rally and is expected to make an appearance in the state alongside pop star Beyonce.

When Joe Rogan issued a stark warning about Kamala Harris' potential presidency and its threat to free speech

In the past, Joe Rogan has voiced concerns about the potential election of Kamala Harris as president of the United States. He warned that if Harris takes over the Oval Office, the First Amendment could face significant threats.

He recalled Harris’s previous statements regarding social media accountability, highlighting her 2019 remarks about holding companies responsible for spreading hate and misinformation. She had expressed the need for strict regulations on social media to protect democracy.

Shedding light on the topic during a conversation with former Navy Seal Shawn Ryan, Rogan said:

"I don’t think it turns around if Kamala Harris gets into office. I think they clamp down more. She openly discussed the need for the same rules to apply to Facebook and Twitter and the possibility that Elon Musk could lose his privileges. There are so many wild things that they are saying. Tim Walz said that the First Amendment doesn't apply to misinformation or hate speech. K, well, it certainly does."
