"Every day, my life is dangerous" - Triple-champ Anatoly Malykhin reveals he wants to climb Mt. Everest one day
After climbing the Mt. Everest of mixed martial arts and becoming the first and only three-division MMA world champion in ONE Championship, Anatoly Malykhin recently shared that he wants to climb the real Mt. Everest.
In a recent Instagram video he posted, Malykhin stated that going up the tallest mountain in the world is on his bucket list despite the danger that it presents because, according to him, it is equally dangerous with his current life of sparring with other professional athletes.
The Russian knockout artist said:
"One time, I'll go to everest. Everest yeah. One time. Bro... Everyday, my life is dangereous. Sparring professional fighters. These guys kill me... Everyday! Fight! This is good bro."
'Sladkiy's' path to three world title glory began in December 2022 after he brutlally knocked out Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5. Then, in June 2023, Malykhin finally got his hands on Arjan Bhullar for the ONE heavyweight world title and scored a third-round TKO finish.
The 36-year-old's latest crowning glory came on March 1 at ONE166: Qatar, where he reasserted his mastery over de Ridder and beat him via third-round TKO to etch his name in history as the sport's only three-division world champion.
Anatoly Malykhin says he's ready to fight anybody but doesn't have much desire to fight Aung La N Sang
In various interviews, Malykhin has always said that he is open to fighting anybody on the ONE Championship roster, granted that the promotion would put an opponent in front of him. After all, he can now fight in three different weight classes because he reigns over them.
However, Aung La N Sang is one fighter that he doesn't have much desire to fight with. But he said that if the former two-division MMA world champion is so persistent to challenge him and test his skills against him, Malykhin would oblige and accept a fight with the 'Burmese Python.'
