Ex-UFC fighter slams media giant for allegedly covering up serious allegations against Joe Biden: "A propaganda machine of a failed ideology"
A former UFC fighter has taken aim at a major media outlet and suggested that they were complicit in covering up some serious accusations against Joe Biden and the Biden-Harris administration.
The retired MMA fighter is an American military staple and ex-UFC middleweight, Tim Kennedy. He's a vocal supporter of the Republican Party's Donald Trump, a former POTUS (President of the United States) and the current President-elect.
Trump served as president from Jan. 20, 2017, to Jan. 20, 2021. He lost the 2020 elections to the Democratic Party's Joe Biden. The Biden-Harris administration has reigned since 2021, with Biden as president and Kamala Harris as vice president.
That said, Trump won the 2024 elections, defeating the Democrats' presidential hopeful, Harris, and will regain his POTUS seat in Jan. 2025. Many current and former UFC fighters, including Kennedy, supported Trump for his re-election.
Back in Sept. 2024, the southeastern part of the U.S., mainly Florida, was affected by Hurricane Helene. Donald Trump, several other prominent Republicans, and consensus right-wing socio-political personalities alleged that the Biden-Harris administration unfairly directed disaster relief funds to migrants, particularly illegal migrants, and deprived Trump supporters of help.
Several U.S.-based media giants, including CNN, reported regarding the claims. Many left-wing analysts questioned the veracity of Trump's claims and deemed the accusations against the Joe Biden-helmed federal government as political propaganda.
Well, PBS and various American outlets recently reported that FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) administrator Deanne Criswell stated that a FEMA worker was fired after the latter allegedly instructed disaster relief workers not to go to houses that had pro-Trump yard signs.
Criswell noted the actions were "reprehensible" and violated FEMA's tenets of helping people irrespective of political alignments.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a longtime Republican, lambasted the Biden-Harris administration over it and called for an investigation. DeSantis underscored things would change when the Trump-Vance administration takes over in 2025.
FEMA hasn't publicly disclosed the employee's identity. Nevertheless, it was indicated that she was a female. Also, the exact time and place the alleged incident transpired remains unclear.
Taking to X, Tim Kennedy has now called out American media giant, The New York Times. The ex-UFC fighter insinuated that NYT's reportage of the Hurricane Helene issue unfairly favored Biden over Trump. Referencing a screengrab from an NYT write-up, Kennedy tweeted:
"It has been a very long time since the @nytimes reported the truth. They have lost all credibility as they are a propaganda machine of a failed ideology."
When Donald Trump agreed with UFC veteran Tim Kennedy's suggestion for JRE debate against Joe Biden
On episode 1535 of the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast in Sept. 2020, Tim Kennedy pitched the idea of a Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden JRE debate. Kennedy opined that UFC commentator Joe Rogan should moderate the Trump-Biden debate on his podcast.
Incidentally, in 2024, Rogan did host Trump on his podcast, albeit for a conversation and not a debate against Biden.
Watch Rogan and Kennedy discuss the potential debate below (2:00:40):
While that proposed debate didn't come to fruition, Donald Trump took note of Tim Kennedy's suggestion. Responding to Kennedy's tweet about the same in 2020, Trump implied he was open to participating in a debate against Joe Biden moderated by Joe Rogan.
Replying to Kennedy's post on X, the entrepreneur and politician wrote:
"I do!"
