Exclusive: PFL CEO Peter Murray discloses Jake Paul's debut will be against "credible, well-rounded fighter" in 2025

PFL CEO Peter Murray recently provided an update on Jake Paul's promotional debut and noted that his opponent will be experienced in the sport. 'The Problem Child' has been eager to continuously prove himself in combat sports and will look to replicate the success he has had in boxing.

Paul is expected to make his promotional debut as part of the PFL Super Fights pay-per-view division in 2025. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is currently preparing for his boxing bout against Mike Tyson, but has been involved in some capacity at a number of PFL events including the first press conference for Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira.

Although 'The Problem Child' has a large following, there has been uncertainty on the quality of opponent for his debut. During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the PFL CEO put all uncertainty to rest as he disclosed what fans could expect. Murray mentioned that there are plenty of options for Paul and it hasn't been difficult because of his preference to fight an established opponent:

"[There's] plenty of options...And Jake [Paul] is committed to fighting a very very credible, well-rounded MMA fighter and not easy to do. Not easy to cross over from boxing into MMA. You know, the crossover from MMA or other disciplines into boxing is a lot easier." [10:13 - 10:35]
