“Feel the power of the universe” - Adriano Moraes preaches about the importance of meditation in a fighter’s life
Former ONE flyweight MMA world champion Adriano Moraes uses meditation to balance things out in training, which he said has done wonders for him in his successful career.
He reiterated that in a recent interview with Party Starter Radio in line with his scheduled return to action at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 in Thailand, highlighting how meditation helps him calm down as he prepares for competition.
'Mikinho' said:
"As a fighter, as an athlete, I need to meditate. I need to set my mind always like clockwork. I'm the kind of guy who wakes up early in the morning, does my brief exercise, I like to meditate a lot, sometimes put on a nice chillout music, and try to feel the power of the universe touch my mind. I think this kind of exercise helps me a lot to be peaceful in the middle of a war."

He said he is digging into his extensive experience to show others that a career in combats sport is worth someone's while if their passion lies in it, telling Party Starter Radio earlier this year:
"As an American Top Team member, I have a lot of teammates that fight in the UFC and a lot of pro shows worldwide. It doesn't matter which organization you're going to fight in. I think the best thing you can do is to be a fighter in and out of the cage.
"There is a pleasure to be on top of the sport. It's really good. And to help each other as a fighter, like one day you're going to be in fight camp and other days your friend is going to be in fight camp."
