"Feels like Rodtang 2.0" - Fans see the evolution in Rodtang Jitmuangnon's game in brutal showdown with Denis Puric
ONE Championship fans observed a significant change in ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon's fighting abilities when he faced Denis Puric in a catchweight (141.25 pounds) kickboxing bout at ONE 167 this past June.
While 'The Iron Man' showcased the strength of his chin early on, he wisely employed his famed stick-and-move strategy in the later stages. Rodtang ultimately outstruck 'The Bosnian Menace' to win via unanimous decision.
Rewatch their fight, which ONE shared on YouTube:

Rodtang's next fight will be in defense of flyweight Muay Thai crown
Rodtang's 18th bout under the ONE banner will feature him defending the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship against United Kingdom standout Jacob Smith at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Jitmuangnon Gym star has already defeated the Bad Company and Thaifist product in May 2022 at ONE 157, though Smith is confident that he has figured out Rodtang's strategy ahead of ONE 169.
However, the Thai megastar plans to send the fans home happy and earn a $50,000 performance bonus with a show-stopping knockout of the third-ranked ONE flyweight Muay Thai contender.
ONE 169 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
