Food, travel among ‘simple guy’ Alexis Nicolas’s top interests: “Not too much night clubs”
Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion 'Barboza' Alexis Nicolas of France chooses to keep himself grounded and not let success get to his head.
Whereas weaker fighters may tend to ball out with cash and party it up in the face of success, Nicolas has taken the more modest approach.
He believes himself to be a man of simple tastes, and doesn't really have lofty personal goals apart from being the best kickboxer he can be in his career.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Nicolas described to fans what kind of guy he is, what he likes to do in his spare time, and how he conducts himself as the newly crowned lightweight kickboxing king.
'Barboza' said:
"Food. When I don’t diet, I usually go to restaurants with my friends. Not too much night clubs, but I do love to travel. I like to discover a lot of countries. That’s why I’m always in Thailand. That’s my new country now. Apart from traveling, I really like to hang out with my friends and chill. I’m just a simple guy, not too much people around me so I can focus on the right things."
Sounds like a guy we can get down with.
Nicolas returns to action this weekend to defend his lightweight kickboxing gold against the man he took it from.
