Former double champ Aung La N Sang certain he’ll be at his sparkling best in Denver: “The best version of me”
Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang expects to be at his absolute best in 'The Mile High City'.
After securing a trio of highlight-reel finishes in his last three outings, 'The Burmese Python' is determined to deliver when he returns to the circle on Friday, September 6 for a scrap with undefeated Turkish sensation Shamil Erdogan.
Offering some insight into his training during a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, the 39-year-old superstar revealed he's been training with younger athletes to help keep his cardio on point:
"The next fight is going to be the best version of me, you know. Granted that I'm a little bit older now, I'm still training hard with all the younger guys, so I'll be good," Aung La N Sang said.

Overall, Aung La N Sang is 14-3 inside the circle with an incredible 86 percent finish rate, including eight KOs and four wins by way of submission.
Shamil Erdogan believes a win over Aung La N Sang could lead to a clash with Anatoly Malykhin
Planning to bring an end to Aung La N Sang's recent career resurgence, Shamil Erdogan makes his sophomore appearance with the promotion after landing an impressive second-round knockout against Fan Rong in his debut at ONE Friday Fights 22.
Overall, Erdogan is a perfect 9-0 in his mixed martial arts career and appears to already be on the verge of a potential title opportunity.
Should he come out on top against the Kill Cliff FC athlete at ONE 168: Denver, Erdogan believes a showdown with reigning three-division champion Anatoly Malykhin is just a matter of time away:
"He is now the champion in my weight class, and if it stays this way, our fight will be inevitable," Erdogan told ONE.
But first, he'll have to face his toughest test yet when he meets a fighter who already knows a thing or two about what it takes to win world championships in the biggest combat sports organization on the planet.
