#2 Ex-UFC star questions Dana White's persistence with Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic
Former UFC welterweight Ben Askren has revealed he is confused by Dana White's insistence on booking Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic.
'Bones' was due to face Miocic last year, but was forced out of the bout through injury. In his absence, Tom Aspinall has both won and defended the interim heavyweight title, with many believing he should be next in line to face Jones.
Dana White disagrees, however, and has since stated that Aspinall will face the winner of Jones vs. Miocic.
Askren then weighed in on the situation during a recent episode of his Funky & The Champ podcast. According to 'Funky', White's persistence could be due to Jones holding "dirt" over him. He said:
"I almost feel like maybe Jon [Jones] has some dirt on Dana [White] or something, because Dana generally wouldn't put up with this type of behavior."

#1 MMA veteran weighs in on Tony Ferguson's refusal to retire
Tony Ferguson's decision not to retire has left former UFC fighter Matt Brown perplexed about his motivations.
'El Cucuy' recently suffered his eighth straight loss in the octagon, coming up short via a first-round submission to Michael Chiesa at UFC Abu Dhabi last weekend. Following the loss, Ferguson stated that whilst he was aware his latest defeat likely means the end of his UFC career, he isn't yet planning to stop fighting.
Brown then shared his thoughts on Ferguson's decision during a recent episode of his The Fighter vs. The Writer podcast. 'The Immortal' opted to compare Tony Ferguson's situation to that of a drug addict chasing their next high. He said:
"Look, when you lose eight in a row, it doesn’t matter where you’re at in your career — that’s pretty much ok. You should probably call it quits. Something isn’t right...He’s like a cocaine addict trying to reach that high again. When you get eight [losses], it doesn’t matter." [H/t MMA Fighting]
