Former opponent believes Nate Diaz can go 2-0 against Jake Paul in boxing and MMA
Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis believes Nate Diaz can beat Jake Paul in an MMA fight as well as in the boxing ring.
During a chat with Andrew Capucetti for 'Inside Fighting', Pettis said that he would be rooting for Diaz to win a possible showdown against 'The Problem Child', whether it was inside the squared circle or an MMA cage.
"I'm team Diaz all day on that, bro. Diaz can box too. I fought him, Diaz can box too," said Anthony Pettis.

Jake Paul recently announced that he had signed a multi-year deal with the fight promotion PFL and would be making his MMA debut soon. The YouTuber-turned-boxer offered Diaz a two-fight deal which would include a boxing match and then six months later, the two would compete in an MMA fight.
"I'm so dedicated to this that I offered nate Diaz a two-fight deal: first, we box, then six months later, we fight MMA in the PFL smartcage and lay it all on the line. If that's not b*lls, then I don't know what is. Nate Diaz, I'm down to fight you in your own damn sport. It's a two-fight deal, let's make it happen."
Pettis uploaded a post on Twitter saying that if the Diaz fight did not become a reality, 'Showtime' would like to be Paul's first opponent in an MMA fight.
Chael Sonnen speaks on the logic of the two-fight deal offered by Jake Paul to Nate Diaz
Chael Sonnen has shared his thoughts on Jake Paul's two-fight offer to Nate Diaz.
According to 'The American Gangster', the deal had some flaws. Sonnen said that if Paul defeated Diaz in an MMA fight, then people would not be interested in seeing them inside the squared circle.
"These fights can only go one of two ways... Either Jake wins or Nate wins, so let's say they start with MMA and let's say Paul wins. Can you imagine that?... Let's just say Paul beats Diaz in MMA. Why are we going to boxing? Why would we need to go to the boxing? And that's where the problem comes and in large part it also works vice-versa..."
