Former UFC star jokes about Joe Rogan possibly trolling and bringing in comedian Shane Gillis as a Donald Trump impersonator on his podcast
Joe Rogan is set to interview Donald Trump on his podcast soon but a former UFC combatant has a funny idea for a bit of a swerve. The episode of the Joe Rogan Experience featuring the former president of the United States, who looks to occupy that spot again, is being recorded today.
Many see it as an episode that could be not just the biggest in the history of Rogan's massive show. To that point, Ben Askren thought it would be humorous if noted comedian Shane Gillis was the one who actually came on the show to do his widely known Trump impression.
Taking to his personal page on X to express this thought, Askren said:
"What if @joerogan is trolling us and just has @Shanemgillis do his Trump impression for a whole show?? it would potentially be the greatest JRE of all-time."

Joe Rogan and the details of this Donald Trump interview
Joe Rogan will be speaking with Donald Trump just days before the presidential elections. But he also wanted to have Kamala Harris on the show, who will also be seeking her first presidential term.
However, It seems like Harris will not be appearing on JRE at this point due to scheduling conflict. But, Rogan's intent was to speak with both candidates for an hour of unscripted conversation with no handlers present, per The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
Joe Rogan has spoken to several political figures over the years like Bernie Sanders and Jesse Ventura to name but a couple. Still though, this is the biggest instance considering the proximity to when this crucial voting period opens up.
The JRE episode with Donald Trump could reportedly drop as soon as tomorrow. Many seem understandably curious to see what topics they delve into throughout the episode.
