Former UFC star reacts to Theo Von's two-word take on former US Rep Ron Paul's statement about 'The Fed'

American comedian and podcaster Theo Von recently caught the attention of a former UFC star with his views about former US Representative Ron Paul's statement on the Federal Reserve (FED).

Paul is a renowned opponent of the US federal system and has vehemently vouched for its abolition. He also released the book, 'End the Fed' in 2009.

Von endorsed Paul's recent statement posted on X, which called for the people to distance themselves from the Fed policies. His post prompted the ex-UFC fighter Ben Askren to respond to the post.

"Who knew Theo was an “End the Fed” guys!!! Let’s go."

Ben Askren joined the UFC in 2019 and faced Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 in his debut fight. He took off with a first-round submission win to start his career in the UFC.

However, 'Funky' lost consecutive fights against Jorge Masvidal and Demian Maia and announced his retirement from MMA in 2019.

When Dustin Poirier received praise from Donald Trump on Theo Von's Podcast

Dustin Poirier drew admiration from Donald Trump when Theo Von hosted him on episode #526 of his podcast, This Past Week.

Poirier locked horns with Islam Makhachev at UFC 302 for the lightweight title. Notably, Trump and Von were in attendance at the pay-per-view event.

'Diamond' was submitted by the reigning champ in the fifth round with the help of a D'arce choke. Despite his loss, the 35-year-old received applause for his performance in the showdown.

The 78-year-old termed Poirier a "warrior" and said:

"Oh he is great, boy I tell you he's a warrior that last fight he had...whether you like it or not, he is a warrior."
