"Four ounces of brutality" - Fans feel the power of Jonathan Haggerty's strikes against Mongkolpetch in Singapore showdown
Jonathan Haggerty showed why he was one of the best pure strikers in the world when he went toe-to-toe with Thai star Mongkolpetch Petchyindee in February 2022 at ONE: Bad Blood.
A recent post that ONE Championship published on Instagram featured one of the best moments of Haggerty during the match:
"'The General' pieces 'em up 😳 How will the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship clash between Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek play out on September 6? 🏆 @jhaggerty_"
As seen in the video, the reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion uncorked a four-piece combination against the Petchyindee Academy representative that clipped him.
'The General' landed a left hook to the body and head before unleashing a one-two combination to his head that ended the sequence. It was only an excerpt of the incredible performance of Haggerty, as he eventually secured the unanimous decision nod from the judges.
