Francis Ngannou makes feelings known about potential Tyson Fury boxing rematch after PFL debut: "I'm still around"
Francis Ngannou recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of a boxing rematch with Tyson Fury. 'The Predator' marked a spectacular return to MMA with a dominant first-round knockout of Renan Ferreira in October, securing the PFL super fight heavyweight title in his promotional debut.
Ngannou's victory came after his first foray into professional boxing, where he suffered a polarizing split decision loss to 'The Gypsy King' in October 2023, a defeat that he's still bitter about.
During a recent interview with Seconds Out, Ngannou was asked about the next chapter in his career. 'The Predator' expressed that he still has unfinished business in boxing, with a rematch against the former WBC heavyweight champion at the top of his list of priorities:
"I’m not coming back because I never left – I’m still around. What I do know for sure is that I want a rematch with Fury."
Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch this Saturday in Riyadh, with the undefeated Ukrainian’s WBA, WBC, and WBO titles on the line. 'The Gypsy King' suffered his first professional defeat at the hands of Usyk in their undisputed title fight back in May.
Ngannou added that he would be backing Fury to overcome Usyk, with the goal of setting up a rematch with the Englishman in 2025.

When Joe Rogan questioned the integrity of Francis Ngannou's fight with Tyson Fury
During an episode of JRE MMA Show featuring Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson in July, Joe Rogan voiced his suspicions that the result of the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou fight might have been planned in advance.
Rogan said that Ngannou had done enough to secure the win and implied that any alleged foul play could have been connected to Fury's undisputed title fight against Oleksandr Usyk:
"I thought he won that fight. But, you know, they were setting up that Usyk fight. They were not gonna let it happen; it just seemed like the fix was in a little bit. It was close enough that they could pull it off. You could go, 'Okay, maybe. Maybe you could see him winning that,' but I don’t think so. I thought Francis won it. A lot of people thought Francis won it."
