FREE FULL FIGHT: Zhang Peimian has fans catching their breaths in high-octane firefight against Torepchi Dongak
Former ONE strawweight kickboxing world title challenger Zhang Peimian recorded his third victory in March 2023 when he rudely welcomed Torepchi Dongak in the promotion with a unanimous decision win.
Zhang and Dongak shared the circle at ONE Fight Night 8 when they fought in a strawweight kickboxing match.
The full fight replay of this bout was posted by the world's largest martial arts organization on their official YouTube channel, with the description:
"Strawweight kickboxing phenoms Zhang Peimian and Torepchi Dongak traded blows in this high-octane striking affair at ONE Fight Night 8!"
The 'Fighting Rooster' immediately pressed forward and rained several combinations against the Russian fighter.
This became the storyline of the match, with the Chinese striking sensation cornering Dongak and tagging him multiple times throughout the striking contest.
Zhang's best moment was when he landed a picture-perfect flying knee in the second round, sending the Singapore Indoor Stadium crowd into a frenzy.
Eventually, the Shengli Fight Club representative secured the unanimous decision nod from the judges to bounce back from his tough defeat at the hands of former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella from the fight prior.
Zhang Peimian to face Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE 169
After returning to the winner's circle in April 2024 with a unanimous win over Aliff Sor Dechapan at ONE Friday Fights 58, Zhang will make his return to action on Nov. 8 at ONE 169, where he faces the legendary Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in a strawweight kickboxing match inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 21-year-old striking sensation looks to use the former ONE strawweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion and former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion as his ticket back to world title contention and score the biggest win of his young career.
