FREE FULL FIGHT: Anatoly Malykhin mauls Dutch submission machine Reinier de Ridder for light heavyweight MMA crown in Manila
Russian MMA star Anatoly Malykhin ascended to the top of the ONE light heavyweight MMA division with a one-round beatdown of Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December 2022.
Malykhin had no problem imposing his will on de Ridder, who held both the ONE light heavyweight and middleweight MMA crowns at the time, thanks to his boxing abilities.
'Sladkiy' ultimately put away the two-division MMA world champion with a looping right hand late in the opening round to win the 225-pound MMA crown.

However, Malykhin and de Ridder's story did not end there.
They fought again at ONE 166: Qatar this past March over the de Ridder's ONE middleweight MMA world championship. Malykhin continued from where he left off in December 2022 and eventually won the 225-pound MMA crown via third-round TKO.
In June 2023, before he rematched de Ridder, Malykhin supplanted Arjan Bhullar as the undisputed king of the ONE heavyweight MMA division.
The first-ever three-division ONE MMA world champion will defend the ONE heavyweight MMA world championship against Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Anatoly Malykhin unconcerned with his detractors
Anatoly Malykhin has heard much negativity during his ONE tenure but does not allow such comments to linger within himself.
In an interview with Red Corner MMA, Malykhin said:
"I dont' know why, but some people will underestimate your achievements instead of saying, 'You're the man.' I don't take it personally, but the guys who worked with me took it to heart. I'm used to it, and know you just have to do your thing."
