FREE FULL FIGHT: French-Algerian legend Anissa Meksen knocks the brakes off Cristina Morales in stellar ONE debut
Multiple-time kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen left a lasting impression on the global audience after she scored a second-round TKO finish against Cristina Morales in her ONE Championship debut.
Meksen made his inaugural appearance under the world's largest martial arts organization in September 2021 as part of the historic ONE: Empower card, which went down inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The full fight replay was posted by the promotion on their YouTube channel, and they wrote its video description with:
"Pound-for-pound kickboxing superstar Anissa Meksen stole the show with a KNOCKOUT debut against Spanish warrior Cristina Morales at ONE: EMPOWER!"
'C18' began the match with a calm but deadly demeanor as she stalked Morales, pressuring her and forcing her on the back foot. Meksen used her three-piece combination to execute this flawlessly.
Apart from her crisp combinations, Meksen also showed her impeccable defense by moving side-to-side to make her Spaniard opponent miss her shots. Furthermore, she shells up whenever she closes the distance to reduce the damage of her attacks.
In the second frame, the French-Algerian striking sensation continued to spam the three-piece combination until she tagged her with a thunderous kick to the head.
It was the beginning of the end for the Team Jesus Cabello representative because Meksen went berserk and poured in vicious punches until Morales was knocked down.
Although she beat the referee's count, Morales couldn't continue the match, and the dub was officially awarded to Meksen.
Anissa Meksen feels amazing to inspire other people whenever she competes
Meksen is now ready for her second crack at a world title, as she takes on Jackie Buntan on Nov. 8 at ONE 169 for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title.
Before that match, she had an interview with ONE Championship, where she shared her thoughts about being an inspiration to others, as she narrated:
"Yeah, I'm proud of myself. When somebody tells you, 'You are amazing,' it's crazy to heat that because you just did it for yourself at the start. But if you can inspire some people, it's just amazing."
North American viewers with Prime Video subscription can watch all the action at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, as it airs live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
