FREE FULL FIGHT: Jonathan Haggerty’s lightning elbows shred Joseph Lasiri like paper
British striker Jonathan Haggerty has been on an impressive tear in his ONE Championship journey, winning eight of his 10 matches to date, including his last six. It all started with his impressive unanimous decision victory over Italian Joseph Lasiri in his promotional debut in January 2019.
The two were featured in a ONE Super Series flyweight Muay Thai showdown at ONE: Eternal Glory on Jan. 19, 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia. 'The General' went on to claim the victory by way of unanimous decision, displaying a variety of strikes that Lasiri had to endure through the course of their three-round thriller.
Jonathan Haggerty set the pace for the contest with a number of powerful kicks to the body and head. When 'The Hurricane' began dealing with the kicks, 'The General' recalibrated his attack, incorporating sharp and precise elbows, including a perfectly timed downward elbow late in the opening round that dropped Lasiri.
The intense back-and-forth between the fighters continued after, but in the end it was Jonathan Haggerty whose hand was raised in victory.
ONE Championship recently uploaded the full fight on its official YouTube page for fans to relive. Check out the video below:
