FREE FULL FIGHT: Sam-A Gaiyanghadao makes history with KO win over Joseph Lasiri in ONE's inaugural Muay Thai match

The first-ever Muay Thai bout in ONE Championship took place in January 2018 at the ONE: Global Superheroes card, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

Fittingly, the match featured the legendary Muay Thai fighter Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and former WBC Super Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri.

ONE Championship relived all the action from that exciting clash by posting the full fight replay on their YouTube channel.

In the early stages of the match, 'The Hurricane' was the aggressor, marching forward and trying to walk down the Thai superstar.

However, he was met with head and front kick counters that effectively neutralized his attack. Sam-A found more success in the opening round with cleaner shots landing.

In the second frame, the Evolve MMA representative mixed up his offense by unleashing vicious leg kicks against Lasiri. This strategy opened up an opportunity for him and made the Italian-Morrocan athlete put his guard down.

This led to an opening on his head, which Sam-A capitalized on and scored a knockdown with a thunderous left kick that dazed Lasiri.

With Lasiri visibly compromised, Sam-A ended the match with two more knockdowns in the round via solid punches to close the show and collect his inaugural win in the promotion.

Sam-A to make a quick turnaround to face Zhang Peimian at ONE 169

Fresh off his first-round knockout win over Akram Hamidi last month at ONE Friday Fights 81, Sam-A will make a quick return on Nov. 8 at ONE 169, where he takes on Zhang Peimian in a strawweight kickboxing match at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.

The two striking stars look to put on a barnburner in front of the always-hyped Bangkok crowd and gravitate closer toward a potential world title shot.
