FREE FULL FIGHT: Senegalese wrestling machine Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane arrives on the big stage with KO of Alain Ngalani
The ONE heavyweight MMA division experienced a major shakeup in January 2021 when Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane made his promotional debut against Alain Ngalani at ONE: Unbreakable II.
The physically imposing behemoths were virtually even in the striking department, which prompted 'Reug Reug' to take a chance and bring Ngalani to the ground. Kane ultimately secured the TKO win by unleashing his vicious ground-and-pound strikes.
Rewatch the entire fight, which ONE shared on YouTube:
It was a sign of things to come for the Senegalese standout as he soon added Swiss star Patrick Schmid and Russian standout Batradz Gazzaev to his list of TKO victims.
The 971 MMA and Black Panther Sports product also proved he could put up a three-round masterclass, as evidenced by his unanimous decision wins over Jasur Mirzamukhamedov and BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida in December 2022 and August 2023, respectively.
Kane's next assignment will see him challenge three-division MMA king Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world championship at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jackie Buntan expects an all-out firefight between Anatoly Malykhin and 'Reug Reug'
Filipino-American Muay Thai standout Jackie Buntan believes Anatoly Malykhin, who also holds the ONE light heavyweight and middleweight MMA crowns, and Oumar Kane will give fans an unforgettable world title fight at ONE 169.
Speaking exclusively with Sportskeeda MMA, Buntan shared:
"Yeah, I think that fight is gonna have everybody standing up from their seats. Just two monster athletes going at it in four-ounce gloves, like it's gonna be insane."
ONE 169 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
