Johan Ghazali earned his spot on ONE Championship's main roster in October 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 36 against Temirlan Bekmurzaev after scoring a second-round knockout finish in front of the Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand.

Both 'Jojo' and the Russian slugger brought their A-game into the match and exchanged solid strikes in the opening round. However, the teenage phenom went into another gear in the second frame.

The Malaysian-American rising star connected a vicious elbow strike that clipped Bekmurzaev, and he wasted no time getting the finish with a body shot that folded him down the canvas for the stoppage win.

Since that victory over the Team Mehdi Zatout representative, Ghazali has split his next two matches in the promotion by winning against Edgar Tabares and losing to five-time Muay Thai world champion Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
