FREE FULL FIGHT: Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 unleashes pure Muay Thai class against Rui Botelho in Bangkok
Reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 has a handful of exemplary performances in ONE Championship. His May 2019 showing against Rui Botelho at ONE: Warriors of Light remains one of his best.
After a flawless outing in his promotional debut in February of that year, 'The Kicking Machine' showcased his striking mastery by dominating the Portuguese star en route to a unanimous decision victory.
Relive Superlek's striking masterclass in its entirety below, as shared by ONE on YouTube:
This victory was a sign of future greatness from the Kiatmoo9 Gym product as he added two more victories in 2020 to start his ONE career on a four-fight winning streak.
However, Moroccan-Dutch star Ilias Ennahachi stopped all his momentum in an action-packed war of attrition in February 2021 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title.
In response, Superlek rattled off 10 straight victories with four finishes. This spectacular run also included him winning the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship in January 2023 over Daniel Puertas.
Superlek has two-sport supremacy in his sights when he challenges ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty for the 145-pound Muay Thai crown at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.
Stephen Loman expects deadlier version of Superlek at ONE 168
Second-ranked ONE bantamweight MMA competitor Stephen Loman believes Superlek will hit harder than ever since he will not need to cut weight to make the 145-pound bantamweight limit at ONE 168: Denver.
Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA, the Filipino star said about Superlek's upcoming ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship challenge against 'The General':
"Now, I think he won't be cutting weight for this match against Haggerty then his strength will be double, at least."
Watch ONE 168 live inside the Ball Arena on September 6. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
