FREE FULL FIGHT: Yu Yau Pui unleashes her brand of unforgiving Muay Thai against Marie Ruumet in Bangkok
Atomweight Muay Thai standout Yu Yau Pui of Hong Kong has been on an impressive roll since joining ONE Championship early last year, winning six straight with no signs of slowing down. Among her spectacular victories was a win over Mariee Ruumet of Estonia, where she displayed her tremendous power.
The 31-year-old KF 1 representative took on 'Snow Leopard' in an atomweight Muay Thai showdown at ONE Friday Fights 23 on June 30, 2023 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand,, where she dominated on her way to winning by unanimous decision.
Right from the get-go, Yu Yau Pui put the pressure on Ruumet, unleashing a barrage of punches to set the tone in the opening frame. She landed a solid body shot midway into the round that instantly sent her opponent to take a knee in pain and ride out an eight-count.
While Ruumet survived the onslaught, Yu continued with her aggression, landing telling hits as the fight wore on. After three rounds, all of the judges' scored cards went the Chinese's way.

Following her victory over Ruumet, Yu Yau Pui strung up three straight victories, the last one coming in March over Spain's Lara Fernandez by unanimous decision.
Yu Yau Pui seeks to extend impressive run at ONE Fight Night 24
Yu Yau Pui returns to action next week, looking to extend her unbeaten run in ONE Championship.
The veteran Chinese fighter will take on promotion-debuting Amy Pirnie of Scotland in an atomweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs Balart on Prime Video on Aug. 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.
It is part of the event happening at the famed Lumpinee Stadium and will be available live and for free on U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
The match will be Yu's second straight appearance in a U.S. primetime event from ONE Championship after ONE Fight Night 20 back in March, where she won by unanimous decision over Lara Fernandez of Spain.
Meanwhile, out to deal Yu her first defeat in ONE is 31-year-old Pirnie, a highly accomplished fighter in the European circuit, who has a professional record of 26 wins and four losses.
