The much-awaited return of reigning undisputed ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty will occur on Feb. 20 at the main event of ONE 171: Qatar, which will take place inside the Lusail Sports Arena.
Haggerty will face the former K-1 world champion Wei Rui in his defense of the 26-pound golden belt. Recently, he shared on his Instagram account that his preparation for the championship clash has begun.
The former ONE flyweight and bantamweight Muay Thai world champion captioned the post, writing:
"Back in my zone. @onechampionship #ANDSTILL 👑"
In the post, 'The General' published a photo of him and his coach, Christian Knowles, along with a short clip of his pad work. This preview of the work that he'll have in this camp has sent his online fans into a frenzy.

Jonathan Haggerty shared his crazy training routine in Thailand
Jonathan Haggerty recently appeared on the Winner's Talking Podcast for an interview, and one of the talking points was his experience training in Thailand.
According to Haggerty, he encountered a different type of training regimen to sharpen his skills in the art of eight limbs, as he revealed:
"That's why I moved out there (Thailand). I moved out there for like nine months with my missus to pursue it. And it was crazy out there -- live, train, eat, sleep, repeat."
