Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is ready for his shot at gold.
The wrestling machine built his toughness and tenacity in the sandpits of Senegal and now has a chance at ONE Championship gold when he challenges Anatoly Malyhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title at ONE 169: Atlanta.
Kane is often considered one of the best artists of Senegalese Wrestling, and he looked back at the brutal yet poetic rise he went through in his native country.

Kane was an absolute prodigy when he made his professional Senegalese Wrestling debut at 16 years old, and that age became prophetic for him as he went a perfect 16-0 in the sport.
'Reug Reug' ultimately made his way to mixed martial arts where he now wreaks havoc in ONE Championship.
Kane is a stellar 5-1 in his MMA matches in the promotion with knockout wins over Patrick Schmid and Batradz Gazzaev.
The Senegalese grappling monster is also coming off arguably the biggest MMA win of his career when he outclassed 17-time BJJ world champion Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida in a mental barnburner at ONE Fight Night 13.
After proving his worth, Kane will challenge Malykhin for the heavyweight MMA throne on November 8 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
