Gilbert Burns echoes Jon Anik's praise for Renato Moicano after UFC Paris win
Gilbert Burns sided with Jon Anik's appreciation for Renato Moicano after the Brazilian lightweight earned a convincing victory at UFC Paris. Apart from praising Moicano's performance, Anik also lauded his dedication, which earned him Burns' support.
Moicano battered his rival, Benoit Saint-Denis for most parts of the UFC Paris main event. The fight was ultimately called off after the second round when the doctor found the swelling in Saint-Denis's eyes too severe to continue.
Anik's appreciative tweet highlighted how Saint-Denis was a challenging matchup for Moicano. The UFC play-by-play commentator also demanded respect for the Brazilian lightweight on account of his current win streak.
"Renato Moicano's strength of schedule and the relative difficulty of the matchmaking is undeniable. And the last time he lost, it was when he stepped up on 4-day's notice to go 25 minutes v. Rafael Dos Anjos. Time to plaster some respect on this lightweight's name. $."
Burns showcased his support for Anik's opinion by sharing his tweet as his Instagram story.
