"Gonna aim for Haggerty's body" - Fans excited for the prospect of Superlek taking out Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168

ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is set to challenge two-sport ONE bantamweight world champion Jonathan Haggerty for his Muay Thai world title at ONE 168: Denver.

'The Kicking Machine' has won his last 10 outings, but he will face a different challenge in Haggerty because of the United Kingdom star's reach advantage coupled with his knockout power.

ONE recently shared Superlek's latest training session on Instagram where the focus appeared to be on tagging Haggerty's body while wading through the counterpunches.

"Go Superlek!! Can't wait to see you take out Haggerty 🙌🙏"
"Superlek just trolling in the video... Anyone receiving those shovel hooks to the body gonna go down!!⚡🔥🥊⚡"
"Y[ea]h Superlek by headkick KO"

Haggerty, who also holds the bantamweight kickboxing world title, is on a six-fight winning streak. He is also fresh off a thrilling TKO win against Felipe Lobo in his first defense of the bantamweight Muay Thai crown this past February.

Superlek sends warning to Jonathan Haggerty

The Kiatmoo9 Gym product and Haggerty have crossed paths once before, in 2018, when Superlek walked away with the TKO victory due to a doctor's stoppage.

While both men have only continued to improve since then, Superlek warned 'The General' from expecting him to fight similarly to their first encounter.

Superlek recently told Sportskeeda MMA:

"I also believe that I have made huge improvements since the last time he fought me. I've been with ONE for a while, and I have grown comfortable with the style and the smaller gloves."

ONE 168 takes place inside the Ball Arena on September 6. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
