"Gonna smash Superlek" - Fans can't wait for Jonathan Haggerty's looming world title defense against Superlek at ONE 168
Reigning two-sport bantamweight world champion Jonathan Haggerty is now wrapping up his fight camp for his upcoming world title defense against Superlek Kitamoo9 on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver at the Ball Arena.
It will be Haggerty's second championship defense after he successfully fended off the challenge from Felipe Lobo in February 2024 at ONE Fight Night 19. Before he takes on 'The Kicking Machine,' he shared a snippet of his preparation and ONE Championship posted it on Instagram recently with the caption:
"Can't be held back 😈 Will "The General" remain a two-sport king by defending the bantamweight Muay Thai crown against Superlek THIS FRIDAY at ONE 168: Denver? @jhaggerty_"
In the video, 'The General' is doing his striking session on the pads while he is held back with two bands wrapped around his body. He displays his refined technique, and fans are hyped for his return.

Jonathan Haggerty honored to headline the massive ONE 168: Denver card on American soil
Ahead of his megafight with Superlek, Haggerty was interviewed by Inside Fighting and shared his thoughts about headlining such a massive event.
Despite the gigantic responsibility to deliver an incredible performance, the 27-year-old British superstar says that he is more grateful than having immense pressure under his shoulders, as he stated:
"I've got no pressure. I'm just very thankful and very honored that they've chosen me to be the main event."
