Gustavo Balart wants a better life for his daughters in the United States: “I will make sure they get a great education”
Third-ranked ONE strawweight MMA contender and former Cuban Olympic wrestler 'El Gladiador' Gustavo Balart has big plans for his family, particularly his daughters when he finally brings them to the United States from Cuba.
Balart left his family in Cuba almost a decade ago in search of mixed martial arts greatness. Now, he's one of the best MMA fighters in the world, and he has the opportunity to really change his family's life.
One dream of Balart's is to give his daughters a good education, which he believes will secure their future.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Balart talked about his daughters and how he wants to set them up for success by giving them a good education.
'El Gladiador' said:
"I talk to my daughters every single day. I like to say good night to them and ask about their days at school. I am not there physically, but I make sure they know I am there for them. I like to check on their behavior, how school is going, and how they feel."
Balart said:
"When they are here with me, I will make sure they get a great education. I will try to get all that time I was not there with them back. I will show them how much I love them and teach them what I learned from my parents."
