"HAS NEVER FINISHED ANY MAN OR WOMAN" - Ilia Topuria takes risque jab at Belal Muhammad's UFC resume, 'Remember the Name' fires back
A new UFC rivalry has been brewing between Ilia Topuria and Belal Muhammad despite them being in two different weight classes. The pair has traded numerous shots online, but 'El Matador's' recent comments have escalated the feud further, veering into personal attacks.
After a fight fan suggested that Muhammad should've been cut from the promotion for withdrawing from his first fight against Leon Edwards due to an accidental eye poke, the featherweight champion responded with a risque insult:
"NO FINISHES, NO KNOCKOUTS, NO KNOCKDOWNS, NO GIRLFRIEND, NO KIDS. BELAL HAS NEVER FINISHED ANY MAN OR WOMAN."
Check out Ilia Topuria's comments below:
Muhammad not one to back down, clapped back at the Georgian-born Spaniard with an accusation of his own:
"Now you are just copying stuff word for word off memes."
'Remember the Name' did not stop there but continued his insults on the featherweight champ by responding to a fan claiming Topuria was trying to copy Conor McGregor with laughing emojis.
Despite 'El Matador's' remarks, Muhammad does have six finishes in his professional mixed martial arts career. Nevertheless, the pair's online tirades will most likely die down soon since both champions have their maiden UFC title defenses coming up.
Topuria is set to take on Max Holloway in a highly anticipated clash at UFC 308, set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, Muhammad will face the No.3-ranked contender Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, in December.
When Belal Muhmmad called out Ilia Topuria for "fake BMF belt"
Belal Muhammad recently slammed Ilia Topuria for posing with the BMF belt ahead of his upcoming featherweight title clash against reigning BMF champion Max Holloway.
The online back-and-forth started as 'El Matador', during an Instagram Live called Muhammad a fake champion, and predicted his loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310.
Muhammad, not too thrilled with the featherweight's assessment, took to X to clap back at Topuria writing:
"Didn't this dork just buy a fake BMF belt to pose with? He is starting to become the Georgian version of Colby Covington."
'Remember the Name's' remarks, however, didn't go unanswered and Topuria quickly hit back criticizing the welterweight champion's overreliance on wrestling during fights, calling him a "cr*tch sniffer."
