"He doesn't have an advantage in any area" - Jake Peacock confident he'll outclass Shinji Suzuki in all aspects at ONE 169

Jake Peacock showed what he is all about on his ONE Championship debut earlier this year at ONE Friday Fights 58. The first-ever limb-different fighter to be signed to the promotion arrived with a point to prove, and he was able to do just that.

At Lumpinee Stadium, he earned a unanimous decision win over Kohei Shinjo and is now looking to continue this momentum in his second fight under the ONE banner.

Peacock returns at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, which will now take place inside Lumpinee Stadium due to partner obligations. Facing off with Shinji Suzuki, the Brit who trains out of Canada believes that he is a step ahead of his opponent in all aspects.

He spoke in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA about where this fight will be won in Bangkok:

"I don't think he has the advantage anywhere. There's not one aspect of his game that gives him an advantage over me, whether it's the mental or the physical side, whether it's the experience or the actual skill set. He doesn't have an advantage in any area and I'm gonna make sure I keep it that way in this fight."

Jake Peacock has never been short on self-belief

Jake Peacock is confident that he will be too much for 38-year-old veteran Shinji Suzuki when he returns to Lumpinee.

Suzuki will be making his third appearance under the ONE Championship banner following a win last time out. After suffering a defeat to Suablack Tor Pran49 on his debut, he bounced back by securing a unanimous decision against Han Zi Hao.

Peacock hasn't got to this stage without having a lot of confidence and self-belief, and now he looks to show that and back it up once again.

He's just getting started following a debut win last time out.
