"He attacked me in the craziest way" - Joe Rogan explains facing heat from Donald Trump over his RFK Jr. praise

On episode #2220 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the eponymous podcaster spoke about his complex relationship with Donald Trump. The former United States president, who is currently running as the Republican Party's nominee, lashed out at Rogan not that long ago.

This stems from the podcaster's praise of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which many mistook as a political endorsement for the latter's presidential candidacy as an independent. This led to a verbal attack from Trump, prompting Rogan to clarify his statements. Now, he is recounting that experience.

"He [Donald Trump] got mad at me one time because I said that RFK Jr. was the only guy that makes sense, but I was essentially saying it the same way I'm saying it here. With RFK Jr., he talks about facts and he talks about reality, and he talks about issues and he talks about studies and what we know about things. He's just brilliant with his recall, and he doesn't attack people and I think we could all use more of that."

Rogan then goes on to shower Kennedy in further praise, giving particular attention to the latter's intellect, as he has prior, before refocusing on Trump's previous attack.

"He doesn't attack people and I think we could all use more of that. Even if he's writing something about someone, like that in book, 'The Real Anthony Fauci,' it's because it's true. It's not good information and it affects all of us. It's not personally attacking someone, and I think that personal attack stuff is what bothers people. And so what did he [Donald Trump] do? He just attacked me. But he attacked me in the craziest way."
