"He fights with a lot of ego" - Diego Paez recognized Johan Ghazali's arrogance as exploitable weakness at ONE Fight Night 32

After their exciting back-and-forth flyweight Muay Thai match on June 6 at ONE Fight Night 32, Diego Paez pointed out that Johan Ghazali competes inside the ring with arrogance.

The Colombian-American contender revealed this during his post-fight interview with Nick Atkin and even claimed that 'Jojo' looked past him during their match, stating:

"Absolutely, absolutely. Yeah, I did think that for sure. I know he fights with a lot of ego, and I saw right through that. I can read people kind of like an empath, and I saw that he looked right past me, and he was already focused on what was to come after."

Paez exploited this approach by the Malaysian-American sensation to persuade the judges to give him the close split decision victory and pick up his inaugural win under the world's largest martial arts organization.

Paez was on the receiving end of a split decision loss to Sean Climaco in his promotional debut last February at ONE Fight Night 28.

The Classic Fight Team standout also spoke about how excited he is to compete in more matches on the global stage after his outstanding victory and performance against the Rentap Muaythai Gym and Superbon Training Camp representative.

Paez hoped that he was able to earn the respect of fans and the organization, as he told Nick Atkin during the same post-fight interview:

"I know the organization loves him. He's a star boy, and they invested a lot in promoting him for this fight. But I hope I earned some respect. And, like I said, I just feel like I'm right where I need to be and fully confident in what the future holds in store for me."
