"He didn't get shot by me" - Michael Bisping recounts how a "young kid" robbed his house and was later killed in a police shootout

Michael Bisping uploaded a recent Q&A on his official YouTube page, during which he revealed having experienced a home robbery at one point. The situation devolved into such chaos that the thief in question ended up shot. Fortunately, the gunshot wasn't fired by Bisping.

Instead, the aforementioned criminal found himself in a shootout with law enforcement, which ended in a grave injury for him. It was a harrowing situation that fortunately resolved itself without Bisping or any of his family members suffering any damage.

During the live session, Bisping was asked about the incident and how young the assailant was, to which he said the following:

"Yeah, he was young, man. He was young. Just for people to know, he didn't get shot by me. He's some young kid, came to a party, my daughter had a bit of a get-together, and it kind of escalated. Came to my house, robbed anything of value, took all my watches, took Rebecca's handbags, purses, anything he could find. Jewelry that she wore on her wedding day and stuff like that. Anyway, we got everything back. And he continued to get in trouble and actually got shot there by the police."

The former UFC middleweight champion likely counts himself as fortunate that not only was his family able to avoid any serious harm, but he reacquired all of his valuable possessions from the thief in question, which isn't often the case for victims of home robberies.

Michael Bisping isn't the only UFC champion to deal with home robberies

While Michael Bisping didn't have to personally step in to protect his property, the same cannot be said for reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who once chased a thief off his property. He did so with a shotgun in hand, as shown on camera footage that has since made the rounds on social media.

Another fighter to have dealt with a similar crime is a past opponent of Jones and a good friend of Bisping's in former UFC light heavyweight title challenger and ex-middleweight Anthony Smith, who faced a far more harrowing home invasion that didn't involve robbery.
