Joe Rogan reacts to Elon Musk firing majority of the Twitter workforce
Joe Rogan has never been one to shy away from discussing many different non-combat sports related issues and topics on his JRE podcast.
Rogan spoke with comedian Kurt Metzger on episode #1903 of JRE. He reflected on the controversy surrounding Twitter after Elon Musk, who purchased the social media platform, was criticized for firing the majority of Twitter's workforce. He said:
"He learned some s**t and I think that's probably why everybody got fired. He probably felt like a lot of people weren't neccesary or he wanted to put all new people in. But also from the things he said publicly, there's some s**t going down. What those people were supposed to do and what they were actually doing and the way they were censoring people, it was real."
While discussing the idea of a shadow ban, the UFC commentator then mentioned that since purchasing Twitter, Musk has welcomed back those who were banned from the platform:
"Some way or another it's (shadow banning) allowed. You and I are probably both on it...Well, all these people are freaking out because Elon is opening the gates to everybody to come back...He's like, if you haven't commited a crime, you should come back."
Twitter has been a hot topic ever since the billionaire purchased the platform, and Rogan has been complimentary of some of the changes Musk has made.
