"He looks the biggest" - Nong-O says Nico Carrillo's size and physicality could pose a threat to Superlek's reign
Nong-O Hama was previously considered to be the gold standard in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. His reign as the world champion saw him continuously send back contenders with dominant performances.
However, after his reign came to an end at the hands of Jonathan Haggerty, a lot changed in this weight class. Following the events of ONE 168 in Denver, Superlek is new the champion after he made quick work of Haggerty in the main event.
Among a whole host of exciting options, the next world title fight would appear to pit the new world champion against red-hot contender Nico Carrillo.
Having shared the ring with Carrillo in December last year when he was stopped in the second round, Nong-O weighed in with his thoughts on how that fight could play out during a recent interview with the South China Morning Post:
"Nico Carrillo [versus] Superlek. Nico has a lot of advantages in terms of his physical condition, I feel like in this weight division, he looks the biggest. His muscles and everything are just there."

Nong-O is looking to get back in the mix soon
Following his back-to-back knockout losses to Haggerty and Carrillo, Nong-O has had some rebuilding to do.
He was able to bounce back with a win over Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai last time out, during which fans saw a much more reserved approach from the Thai veteran.
The former champ is now set to return at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27 in another barnburner matchup.
He faces Kiamran Nabati in a fight that could see the once-dominant bantamweight kingpin return to the title picture by sending back a rising contender who is looking to make a name for himself in this fight.
The replay of ONE 168: Denver is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
