"He looks like a crackhead" - Sean O'Malley opens up about Nick Diaz's alleged battle with drug addiction
Sean O'Malley recently offered his thoughts on the Nick Diaz's viral video, wherein Diaz is being interviewed but appears to be in a poor physical state, even forgetting his own words. It was an alarming sight that preceded his withdrawal from the Vicente Luque welterweight matchup previously scheduled for UFC 310.
Diaz's condition has O'Malley fearing that the MMA legend may have become a victim of drug addiction. The conversation took place on episode #311 of the Timbo Sugarshow podcast, during which O'Malley said the following about his observations of the situation:
"Did you see the interview with him at the gas station? That was hard to watch. It was hard. mean, he looks like a crackhead."
Given Diaz's beloved status in the MMA world, the topic quickly shifted to the Stockton native's potential recovery from his alleged drug addiction. That, however, drew a bleak response from O'Malley:
"The addicts aren't going to [help themselves]. They [Diaz's family] need to make that decision themselves, I feel like. Unless you literally pick him off the streets, take him somewhere, like."

A second video of Diaz has made the rounds on social media in the wake of his withdrawal from the Luque fight. A man who strongly resembles Diaz and answers to 'Nick' can be seen roaming the public shirtless while attempting to light grass on fire in a scene likely to draw even more concern.
This also marks the second instance of a bout between him and Luque being scrapped, with the pair first being pulled from UFC on ABC 7 due to travel issues.
Sean O'Malley is himself a recreational drug user
While fears of Nick Diaz's mental state and overall health have spiked over allegations of substance abuse issues, Sean O'Malley is himself no stranger to drugs. The former UFC bantamweight champion is, much like the Diaz brothers, a recreational drug user who smokes marijuana.

In fact, O'Malley frequently incorporates marijuana in his skits, especially those involving faux training, which sees him depict absurd training routines while he smokes a marijuana joint.
