"He owes me money" - Dana White fires back at Francis Ngannou, says PFL is "praying for his demise"

UFC CEO Dana White has responded to Francis Ngannou's claims of being owed money by the multi-billion-dollar MMA promotion.

White recently made an appearance at the UFC 308 post-event press conference, where he was asked for his response to Ngannou's accusations. The 55-year-old fired back at the former UFC champion, saying that it was actually the Cameroonian who owed him money for his lackluster fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 in July 2018.

"When have you ever heard a story in all the years we've been in this business, even when it was upside down, where we owed someone money? Never happened. So, he's full of s**t there. And then, I lost? I didn't lose anything... Actually, he owes me money, because we had to watch that fight, him and 'The Black Beast' [Derrick Lewis]. He should pay me back for that fight and all of you... Trust me. I don't think about Francis that much."

This recent chapter in the White-Ngannou saga started when the UFC CEO commented on Ngannou's debut in the PFL.

"Francis is all about the money. Francis left because he knew that if he fought Jon Jones and didn't win, it would hurt his chances of making the money that he wanted to make."

Ngannou then appeared on SiriusXM's MMA Today, where he claimed that White was just saving face after losing their dispute.

"I think Dana is trying to make things up to buy a good face in the position that he has lost. Dana has lost in this situation. And the only thing is that he cannot stand it... And which money he's talking about? The money that he owes me. Because remember, all this ended with like they say, 'Oh, we're gonna back pay you the money that we owe you from the Stipe and Ciryl Gane fight.' All that they never back pay me."
