"He was really good" - Superlek recalls his surprising training session with hip-hop royalty Wiz Khalifa

ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 gained an unlikely student during his visit to the United States in February 2023 — hip-hop megastar Wiz Khalifa.

Recounting his once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the multi-platinum recording artist in a video posted by ONE Championship on Instagram, Superlek stated:

"It was incredible. I never thought I'd meet him. I taught a seminar in America a while back. That day, I got to hold pads for Wiz Khalifa. He was really good. I taught him some tricks and techniques. It was a great experience. The American fans love Muay Thai. This time, I'm coming to America not to teach or train. I'd like to ask the American fans to come cheer me on in Denver."

Liam Harrison weighs in on Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek megafight

British Muay Thai icon Liam Harrison gave his two cents on the upcoming ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship matchup between Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek at ONE 168: Denver.

Speaking with the South China Morning Post, 'Hitman' said:

"Size advantage, power, and altitude, this could be pushing him [Haggerty] to be the favorite in my eyes, you know what I mean? If it was eight-ounce gloves Muay Thai in Thailand, it'd be Superlek all day long. But this is ONE Championship rules, four-ounce gloves, it's gonna be a very hard fight to call."
