Jon Jones "too afraid to lose" to ever return to the octagon, says Jan Blachowicz
Jan Blachowicz has made a bold claim regarding Jon Jones' future inside the octagon. The former UFC light heavyweight champion has cast doubt upon Jones' urge to compete.
Former UFC two-time light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been blowing hot and cold about his return to fighting. He was last seen inside the octagon against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 on February 8, 2020.
Since then, he has authenticated the claims of moving to the heavyweight division and has been dedicating his time to attain the proper frame and competency for the heavier weight class. 'Bones' has also been persistently chasing a fight against Stipe Miocic, even going as far as to claim that the former two-time heavyweight champion is delaying the matchup.
Speaking with MiddleEasy about Jones' future inside the octagon, Jan Blachowicz said:
"I don't believe Jon Jones will be back fighting anymore. I think he's afraid to lose so much that he will do everything to not coming back."
Jan Blachowicz alluded to Jones' razor-thin victories in recent times as an additional factor in his prediction:
"There was a time when he dominate complteley our division. After couple of years, everybody catch his level and it was very hard for him to win the fight."

Jan Blachowicz reacts to Jiri Prochazka getting tested 51 times by the USADA
Jan Blachowicz missed out on an opportunity to fight for the light heavyweight strap despite persistently calling out Jiri Prochazka. In his mind, a fight against the Czech light heavyweight champion has all the writing to become the biggest MMA fight in European history.
However, Jan Blachowicz will need to wait for his shot since the UFC has booked a rematch between Prochazka and Glover Teixeira for UFC 282. The light heavyweight contender famed for his Polish power is scheduled to face Magomed Ankalaev on the same night. He has the opportunity to make a statement with a victory over a surging contender.
Jiri Prochazka has reportedly undergone an astounding 51 drug test by USADA since the beginning of the year, according to a new report. Reacting to the reports in the aforementioned interview, Blachowicz stated:
"Crazy! Crazy stuff, you know. He come to the UFC, beat three best fighters in UFC, he take the belt, so maybe this is the reason why...and for sure this is something annoying for him very much you know."
